While working in your office or roaming around with your friends, have you ever experienced a sudden and severe headache? If the answer is yes, then the time has come for you to consult a doctor as there is a high likelihood of you suffering from migraine headaches.
Going by the medical definition, migraine headaches are not only painful but they make you prone to several other illnesses like nausea and increased sensitivity to light and sound. Additionally, these headaches might become worse during winter.
While taking medicines might offer temporary relief, Essential Oils are an all-natural solution for permanent relief in conditions like migraine headaches. Keeping that in mind, here are some of the best Oils that have helped me improve my condition:
Eucalyptus Essential Oil
If your migraine headache is getting out of control, massage your head with some good Essential Oil blend that has Eucalyptus as its main ingredient. With anti-inflammatory and expectorant qualities, this Oil can surely get you drastic relief.
Lavender and Roman Chamomile Essential Oils
For their soothing and anti-inflammatory properties, these two Oils can easily reduce the pain levels when used before going to bed. I personally find Lavender to be very soothing on my body. Not only does this Oil helps me with my migraine but it keeps me fresh and functional throughout the day.
Rosewood Essential Oil
Doing a regular massage with Rosewood Essential Oil not only helps you improve your blood circulation but it’s a proven therapy for those that often feel nervous and tense. Remember, stress and tension can be a major reason behind the occurrence of most of the headaches.
Peppermint Essential Oil
From ages ago, Peppermint is known to be the best natural medicine for several health issues. While offering substantial relief in migraine headaches, Peppermint is also useful for issues like cold, flu and stomach related ailments. For those who are sensitive to Peppermint Oil, you should use it with a mix of Coconut Oil or Olive Oil (don’t add any water).
With menthol as its main ingredient, Peppermint Essential Oil not only gives you a soothing effect but also helps you get an enduring relaxation. From tender headaches to muscle pain, this Oil is useful for many other health conditions.
